The Brompton P Line was originally launched in the autumn of 2021 (the beginning of the 2022 model year for Brompton)
The P in P Line stands for Performance Line - it was similar to the old superlight C Lines in that it had a titanium rear triangle and front forks - but there was an all new (advanced) rear end
The standard Brompton was renamed as the C (for Core) Line
It had many changes from the original Brompton - most of which we highlighted in the below video
Now in May 2026 comes a new version of the P Line - and it's not just an update to the colours!
The new P Line takes some of it's DNA from the T (for Titanium) Line - launched in January 2022 - not long after the original P Line
The T Line used the same rear end as the P Line and now the P Line uses some of the features based on the T Line
Unusually for Brompton it was launched in Asia first - so we have only just got our hands on them
Key features (that we have seen so far) are:
- Carbon forks
- Alloy stem
- Wider handlebars with ergonomic grips
- Integrated headset
- Self aligning hinge clamps
- New crankset with shorter cranks - now 160mm down from 175mm
What hasn't changed?
- Roller wheels - these are still the same as the previous P Line model
We made the below video on the differences between the new one and original
